The Association of Critical Education was founded as a response to the most poignant concerns of
everyday life, especially those that wreck the dreams of children and youth. Together with them,
we make the world regain its colors.

The Association of Critical Education (SEK) was founded over 10 years ago as a response to the most poignant concerns of everyday life, especially those that wreck the dreams of children and youth. Together with them, we make the world regain its colors. Our headquarters is located in Wrocław, but the energy and power to act spreads not only locally, but also regionally – we are active throughout Lower Silesia. We also undertake domestic and international partnerships and activities.

Through research, reflection, and working along with children and young people, we change their small worlds, because we care about the big change. We connect teachers, humanists, ethnographers, animators, researchers, educators, and experts representing various scientific institutions (mainly the Faculty of Pedagogy and the Research Center of the University of Wrocław, but also SWPS and the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław), humanities, applied disciplines, educational and research approaches. We share a vision of a world based on diversity and equality. We stimulate group empathy. Our cooperation is based on professionalism, mutual assistance, critical attitude, reflection, and a sense of security.
Our team consists of people distinguished and recognized by such initiatives and entities as: 30 Creatives of Wrocław, Congress of Women, Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
